📋 What is the Master Document List (MDL)?

The MDL is a contractual checklist of every document a project must deliver. A PM or HOD creates an MDL template and populates it with placeholders — one per required deliverable (e.g. STRUCT-001 — Foundation Design Report).

When an engineer uploads a document linked to a placeholder, its status flips missing → uploaded. When HOD approves it, it flips uploaded → approved. The completion bar shows overall delivery progress.
